A few people have made comments to me about the sparse posting on the blog lately. I know. It's disappointing, especially when I surely must have things to say, people. I'm going to try to be better, just say f*ck it, and write about whatever comes up that I want to write about. So...

Em and I have a brilliant new money-making scheme. Here's the deal. When I get annoyed with people at work or wherever, I fantasize about chucking a mug at their heads. It's just my thing. I think the sound of that would be very satisfying--Thwok!--and Em and I joke around about stockpiling a supply of mugs to have handy at all times. The other day she took it a step further by suggesting we make a business out of it. The plan is to have a bunch of mugs made with this picture on it:

and the line "You've Been Thwocked." And that's it. Our website will be mugchucking.com or similar. We'll even offer thwokgrams. Someone will show up at your door wearing a cute little puppy mask, and you'll be thinking they're going to sing Happy Birthday To You or something, but no. They're going to chuck a mug at your head. We've pitched this idea to a few friends, and everyone seems to be on board, but there is concern about lawsuit potential. I guess the thwokgrams will have to be made out of styrofoam or another lightweight material. Dang.

Surprisingly, people are really supportive of the idea of me bursting into song on the bus. I'm receiving encouragement from numerous sources. It's just not going to happen. At least I hope not. Thanks, though!

I've been kind of off going to shows lately, and just haven't been into music as much either, but I feel like a few things are starting to come up for later on. The Bumbershoot line-up is looking pretty good to me, and I had fun last year, so I may give it a whirl again. One of my friends bought tickets for us to go see Muse in September. Em discovered a band called Little Brazil who are really great. I'm hoping to get back into things (and reporting on them) more and more as summer goes along.

So what I'm saying is that I am going to make a very conscientious effort to keep up with the blog. I won't let my people down. :-) If the weather holds out today, I'm going sailing with a friend for a couple of hours this evening, which could provide some good material. Amy, Keith, and I are starting plans for another river-rafting adventure. Yay! With this current streak of good luck, I'm bound to see more people trip and fall. And, if nothing else, there is always my musings, with the help of friends, on dating, relationships and love (will become the new old standby) to carry us through. Stay tuned...
