Last night I went to a bbq with Amy & Keith at this totally kick-ass apartment in Seattle. Well, the view of the water and the Edgewater from this person's massive deck was the truly kick-ass part. Anyway, strangely enough, it was an evening of All New People for the three of us. Seriously. We hadn't even met the host before; Amy had just talked with him on the phone. While I won't go into the details of how this little party came about (it's innocent and harmless, just complicated to explain, but basically a connection through another friend), it ended up being lots of fun. We met interesting and entertaining people, enjoyed good food and drinks, and had some great conversations. At the end of the evening, which got pretty silly, the host showed us a couple of his favorite YouTube videos, and I don't know if it was my mood or what, but I found Charlie the Unicorn hilarious.

After watching, Amy and I kept turning to each other to say in annoying unicorn voices, "Shun the non-believer. Shuuunnnnn. Shuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnn-na."

"This better be pretty freakin important. Is the meadow on fire? La, la, la-la, la."
