Since buying my Scion TC less than two years ago, the following things have happened to it:

1. One of the first days I was motoring around town, a person suddenly changed lanes and bumped the rear side of my car. I pull over to check for damage. Luckily there wasn't any, because while I was pulling over, the other person turned on their signal and quickly turned down a side street. Hmph!

2. Someone knocked off the driver's side mirror when I was parked on Em's street. No note, no nothing. Ching-ching.

3. In the parking garage at work, the spots are at an angle. Someone must have turned their steering wheel too soon while backing out and scraped the paint off the corner of the bumper on the driver's side. Note? Uh-uh.

4. The famous backing into a low pile of (not visible in any of my mirrors) wood trim incident in the parking garage of my last apartment. Hole punched in bumper, tears of frustration and despair, huffy letter to condo owners etc, etc. Did I ever tell you that they coughed up the money for the repair? Yes!

5. Shortly before the hole in bumper incident, some kind soul must have rammed a shopping cart or bike or something into my drivers side door, leaving a dent and funny scrapes all along the side. Oh, it also appeared that someone had keyed the driver's side door handle. Filed insurance claim.

6. While in Maui in September, left car in capable hands of great body shop to take care of damage in one swoop. Came back to brand new bumper, no dent, and beautiful paint job. Love gorgeous car!

7. Last week, parked car in garage at work and returned to find large scrapes on driver's side door again! This time it looks like someone was trying to break in with a screw driver or something. I don't know. I have no clue what the hell is going on when I'm not around. Argh!

So, yeah. The Scion (named Trixie by Emily) was nice for about a month. Why, oh why, do these things keep happening? Poor Trixie. She's a fun car, but she's not fancy, so I don't understand what the hooligans who keep messing with her are after. There was some evidence of previous break-in attempts with the earlier damage too. Sigh. I can't even get upset about it anymore. It's ridiculous. Obviously Trixie has some negative karma she just can't shake, because we all know that I'm nice and good and a very conscientious driver, so it can't be me. What was she up to in her past lives? I feel like we may need to have a serious discussion about this, maybe a little therapy, so I know exactly what I'm dealing with here.

I hope you all are having fun Halloweening it up this weekend! I am very much on the mend from my flu and looking forward to dressing up like Wayne Campbell for a party tonight. My Wayne's World hat arrived yesterday. Yesssssss!
