Nada Surf yesterday...North Bend Outlet Mall today. My mom wanted to take a trip out to our old stomping grounds, so I picked her up at the hotel this morning for a little mother-daughter adventure, since I didn't get to see her on Mother's Day. It was great! We had lunch at the North Bend Bar & Grill, visited the Falls (I don't care what anyone says, I love that waterfall. I stop to see it whenever I'm out there.), and shopped at the outlet stores. It rained steadily the whole time, which made the sidewalk sale at the mall kinda pathetic. At one point, I found myself under the fluorescent lights of a drab changing room in the Dress Barn while Taylor Dayne's "I'll Be Your Shelter" blared out from the speaker above. Na, na, nana-na-na. Na, na, nana-na-na. All the other ladies in the store had a good 15-20 years on me. I bought two shirts. I now own clothing from the Dress Barn. Dress. Barn. The good news is that I walked into the Gap outlet at the start of New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle," which made me happy. Of course, I didn't buy anything there (only the Dress Barn), but I like that song and hadn't heard it in ages.

My mom is a packing machine. We came home this evening and spent a few hours filling boxes. The apartment is now pretty much ready to go. Thank God. I am so grateful for her help, because packing on my own would have taken forever. Now, it's pretty much done. I love my mom! Have I mentioned how tired I am of moving? I am very excited about my new apartment, though. It's in a house, so I'm thinking the odds of it undergoing a conversion in to condos is very low.

Boys are frustrating me lately.

Run, dude! Love David & Goliath, but I think I need to stay away from the stupid factory. Ha!

I don't have to work tomorrow, so I'm off to watch Rumor Has It, because it's just been that kind of day.
