My single friends, tomorrow is the start of Rejection Awareness Week. I had no idea this existed until an article in the Seattle Times caught my eye. I have to say I'm a total sap for the stories of how taking a risk for love paid off. It's so inspiring and hopeful and gives the much needed sense that something wonderful is possible at any time. I know for me it's *really* scary to make the first move. While confident in some areas, my little heart is unreasonably terrified of rejection. It's so easy to feel bleah and write yourself off as an undesirable when things don't turn out how you hoped/planned, making it even more difficult to give it a whirl a second (third, fourth, fifth...) time. RAW is a great reminder that taking a chance does, on occasion, pay off in a big way.
