I'm so excited! I won tickets to go see The Swell Season(!!!) at the Good Shephard Center for an Artist's Den performance this Sunday! Since I am still so totally and completely in love with Once, my friend Jen and I are going to go see the movie again right before the show. I can barely contain my happiness over getting to see Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova perform the songs live! I keep doing little happy chair dances. Although I'm not too thrilled about going to a performance that's being filmed for TV. Me no likey that aspect, but I am super thrilled about the Grey Goose martinis that are part of the deal. :)

I saw Lars and the Real Girl with one of my partners in crime the other night. It was a really sweet movie with lots of good laughs. It had a couple of over the top moments in terms of sweetness, but I still recommend.

AND, last night after being at work until about 9pm, I went home and crashed in front of the TV and ended up watching the season premiere of Nip Tuck. Now, I'd been a fan of Nip Tuck for the first couple of seasons, and then it sort of lost me. I went into season five with low expectations from the couch. I'm happy to report that THEY ARE BACK, BABY! They've moved to LA, they've upped the funny, there were lots of great cameos, and the show no longer seems to be taking itself the least bit seriously, which is working for them. I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses from here.

Oh. Happy Halloween! I have no costume.
