Just a couple more days until I get to see my sister. Vacay! Vacay! Molly and I keep expanding on our plans while I'm there, so I think we'll be busy. One thing she really wants to do is see a movie at the theater, since that hasn't been so easy since Trav's arrival. We're looking at Knocked Up and Ocean's Thirteen. On one hand you have hilarious, or so I here, and on the other you have, well, hot men. I pointed this out to Molly, and she responded with, "It's true that both have their perks...I just want the popcorn." My sister and I are of one mind.
I had a fantastic evening out with friends Keith and Marcel tonight. It was one of those nights I was reluctant to leave the house but ended up really glad I did. Keith and I grabbed a delicious dinner at Jai Thai, and then we met up with Marcel at the High Dive for Audioasis. I got the boys to play some nudie photo match with me, and I have to say we sucked. The problem might have been not having enough to drink beforehand, which seems to work well for me and Em, so we headed over to the Red Door (where I proceeded to eat most of Marcel's french fries) during the down time in between acts. The bands we heard at the HD were much, much better than the ones at the Croc the other night. In particular, we liked the band Transfer, who I had never heard before. After returning to my apartment, Keith decided to hang out for a bit to let the alcohol wear off before driving home, and we sat outside on my back deck having one of those great late night conversations, which always seem very deep at the time, about stuff like life, death and what it means to exist, religion, the bible, politics, and I think a few silly things, like kittens, too.
I am still without my Price is Right DVD. For those of you who missed seeing Mols, here is a link to footage of her friends watching her win the truck (scroll down and click on the pic with the numbers on the right side to start video) so you can at least see her go into Bob overdrive. If you have already seen it, enjoy reliving the moment, man.
