Merry Christmas!

My Christmas is made. Santa brought me a...Magic Bullet! I'm so excited! I've wanted one of these things forever. I've found myself wrapped up in the infomercial a time or two (ok, maybe more), seen it around at stores, and one of my friend's moms even demoed hers for me when I was over for dinner one night last year. It stuck in my head. It's just not the kind of thing I'd buy for myself, though, even if I am eager to make smoothies and frozen cocktails, whip up salsa, and grate cheese with this handy dandy gadget. I'd fantasize about all the delicious treats I could prepare with the Bullet, but I'd sort of written off ever getting one. I guess I mentioned it while in Hawaii this summer, and my darling mom remembered. I think I should have a party in honor of Ugly Tree and the Bullet when I get home.

My darling mother also gave me an interesting gift(s) that I can't wait to show you (it's hilarious!), but I forgot the cord for my camera, and my sister's doesn't work in mine. Boo. I will have to post when I get home, but you'll have to wait a few days. It's a bummer for me, because I was so looking forward to showing you. Oh well. Must have patience. I'll post a couple of pics for the Fans of Zozo too.

While getting ready for cookie decorating this afternoon, my Mom walked up to me and out of nowhere said, "Have you looked through my acid glasses yet?" Huh?!? I guess she's talking about her 3D glasses that she wants me to use while gazing at the Christmas tree. She says it's like looking at the world while on acid, not that she'd know anything about that. Hmmmm. Sometimes I wonder. :) She cracks me up.

I flew to Tahoe yesterday evening, and the whole experience was pretty festive, which was nice. After my flight got underway, the man sitting behind me tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around with a questioning smile on my face, and he showed me what looked like a perfectly fine watch and launched into conversation with, "If I take this to a store, do you think they'll be able to fix it?" Flustered and not sure I heard him right, I said, "What?" He repeated the question. "Uhhhh, yeah. Probably." He responded with, "Thanks. Sorry to disturb you in the middle of your book." Polite me said, "That's okay!" and turned around quickly. That was it. Very strange.

Oh! Joe and Molly are going to get a baby kitty from an animal rescue shelter tomorrow. We're all going along to help pick it out and get the necessary supplies. Fun! We're also going to have a family bowling tournament tomorrow night. Har har! Be prepared for some picture-packed posts soon.

A little guy I know just toddled in to the computer room to see what I'm doing. I said, "Hey there, hot stuff!" and he flashed me a huge grin. I love.
