Happy Birthday, my Mom! Have a wonderful day!

You gotta love this...

(pic compliments of Em, who always brightens my day with these silly things)

It's raining. Again. I always forget how these rainy days affect my semi-curly hair. If I wear my hair curly and it gets wet, I end up with a frizzy mess. If I wear my hair straight, it wants to curl from all the moisture in the air, and I end up with a frizzy mess. It's a lose-lose sitch, unless I'm diligent about putting on a hat (of course I'd never carry an umbrella - hmph!) when I go outside, or just decide that I don't care. But, the frizzy puffball consequence is unpleasant. It reminds me of this scene in "The Mirror Has Two Faces" when Barbara Streisand's character, Rose, is complaining about her hair and her sis suggests getting a perm. Rose replies with something like, "I tried that once, remember? I looked like Shirley Temple on crack." I love that line! I feel her pain.
