All this talk about self-gratification--or, as I now like to call it, that "thing" that happened--is really making me look forward to the movie Shortbus.
So, my life is pretty much dullsville this week. Work, work and work basically. My mind has gone dull in dullsville too, which makes for really super interesting writing. Can't you tell? I'm going to a conference in San Diego for a few days next week, so I'm hoping that little trip will help snap me out of this zombie-like daze. More sleep would probably help too.
Hey, I started school this week. It's been a while since I've been in the classroom, but I'm liking the idea of it so far. I'm taking a basic survey course that's packed full of freshmen, which is weird, frankly, but it's a necessary step before I can take the journalism classes that really interest me. I feel like an oldie saying this, but what's up with kids these days? Five minutes before class ended, people started packing up and heading toward the door, even though it was clear that the instructor had not finished his lecture. He just paused for a moment, and everyone took that as an opening to hightail it out of there. It was so strange and rude to me. We'll see how this goes. I'm sure you'll hear about it.
Please do me a favor. When you see me next, be kind and don't mention how boring I am. Thanks.
