Once again I'm off in my own little world, peeps, not blogging at all. I know I'm lame for not posting more Israel details yet. Honestly, I think I'm still trying to wrap my head around a lot of things from the trip, and I'm hard pressed to give very good details to the people who see me all the time and ask about it either. But soon! I'm getting there, and I have my pics downloaded (from when I had a camera), so I'll organize those shortly and let friends and fam know how to find them. Maybe I'll post a few more here, too.
Life is pretty good since I've been back. Actually, really good. The past couple of weekends have been a lot of busy fun, catching up with friends and trying to reorganize my life. Frankly, my apartment life is still a disaster. I started making some progress on cleaning up the mess, but then things took a turn. There are little piles scattered everywhere, and those little piles are growing rather than shrinking. There is even Better Than Peanut Butter on my laptop keys that I haven't managed to clean off yet. Pathetic...and gross.
But, I'm not going to do it now! Nope. Right now I'm off to see Hamlet 2 with friends, and I'm so freakin excited because it's been forever since I've seen a movie in the theater, and I love seeing movies. This weekend has been fantastic. I played tennis with Amy, had fun dinner outings, went on shopping trips with my lovelies, and now the movies. Today was an especially good shopping trip out to the eastside with the Jen. I'm really into consignment shopping right now, and we found lots of great stuff--used and new--at a mix of places. Among other fabulous items, I got a great pair of *sexy* tall brown boots that I ended up wearing all over the store and can't wait to wear this fall/winter. Also, I found another gorgeous pair of heels for a steal. I love it! Jen and I even ended up getting matching sweaters at one place, so now we'll be twiny-twins.
Jen and I decided to have lunch at a Red Robin, which was good, nostalgic fun. I haven't been to a Red Robin in ages. This became apparent when I stood up from our mini-booth when it was time to go and immediately hit my head on the "chandelier" above the table. I was all, "Ow" in disgust and a bit of pain, and then Jen and I burst into a fit of giggles that just wouldn't stop. It was the kind where you're all hunched over with tears rolling down your face, and the people in the restaurant are looking at you like you're crazy, and like they are wishing you would leave. Later on, she managed to swing a tag dangling from a sweater directly into her eye, so I felt better. But, it started the giggles again. I love my people.
Thanks to Amy for lending me Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight series. Even if the books get a little angsty for me, I am so looking forward to reading it. That means pretty much nothing will get done around here for a couple more days.
I'm wishing the Lovely Jen a Very Happy Birthday tomorrow!
