Yesterday I read about and am now all about the paradoxical commandments. I love the idea of doing these things anyway. I'm also into the universal moral code on that page.

I'm sorry to say I have no good e-date news to share at the moment. Blah, I know.

The sun and the warmth lately has been SO GREAT!

The next few days are going to be fantastic, busy fun. My cousin and his girlfriend are coming to town from Minneapolis for a visit, and I'm going to get to play tour guide and touron. Woohahaha! (piano fingers) I think we're going to go to the Market and spend some time downtown, play a little disc golf, visit some of my favorite neighborhoods, see the Troll & Gasworks, eat good food, and possibly hit a couple of wineries. And then, much to my delight, Mols and Travilicious are coming up for the 4th of July, and we'll probably go to the EMP and Space Needle while they are here. Trav is obsessed with the Space Needle since it's in one of his Little Einstein programs. Not sure how I'm going to keep everyone entertained on the 4th yet, but I'll figure something out. Then, over the weekend, my sis and I are hoping to go to the Long Winters show. They are our favorite band to see together. Yay!

AND, Nada Surf is going to be at Bumbershoot! So excited!

My volunteer tutoring is totally enjoyable. I look forward to it a lot. My student is really cute, and I'm learning a lot in my conversations with her as well. The time flies. It's so nice to be in a situation that is a bit out of my comfort zone, yet it's ok. I don't have any formal teaching experience, but I like figuring it out in the moment. I like going there not knowing exactly what to expect, and the challenge of stretching how I think to find the best way to explain things I haven't had to explain in ages, or ever before. I like trying to be creative, amusing, and understanding to keep the attention of the kids. I get into the books they are reading (am reading one now), and I find sharing in this with them incredibly rewarding. In short, I love it.

Hopefully I'll come up with some material to keep YOU entertained in the near future too. :-)
