First, Happy Birthday, Mom!
The 10 Worst Toys list for this year just came out. I'm perusing it to see what I should buy for Trav and my other baby friends. It's the Bacon R. shopping guide.
Stupidest movie I've seen in a long time: Fred Claus (followed closely by Deck the Halls, which I saw the next day). Bad news, but things like this sometimes happen in K Falls.
Something I must buy immediately: First season of Flight of the Conchords. (Why? Why? Why? Why exactly? Be more constructive with your feedback.)
Music I'm loving: In Rainbows - Radiohead (lurv it!), The Con - Tegan and Sara, Asleep at Heaven's Gate - Rogue Wave, and, of course, my Once soundtrack. *Still* adoring the Trucks, too, after all these months.
Song that always makes me happy, and I heard it on the radio on the way home tonight: Don't Get Me Wrong by the Pretenders.
Song that I secretly car dance to even though it's not really my style, but it also makes me happy and gives me the urge to do the Robot: Stronger by Kanye West. (I need ya right now!)
Old album I've been listening to lately but feel slightly humiliated about admitting, because it is mainstream crap (but sometimes mainstream crap is good, which, I suppose, means I shouldn't be calling it crap. Hmmmmm): Blink 182 by--you guessed it--Blink 182.
When I bought the album a few years ago, I was really in to (and still am) the song I Miss You, but then I ended up surprising myself by liking pretty much the whole CD. Now I'm listening to it covertly at my desk during the day. Must maintain Music Snob image.
Person who was cracking me up so much today: Monica (or "Monice" as she tends to mistype her own name). We discussed words that drive us nuts like "moist" and "sammies" for sandwiches. Who says moist like it's a good thing? I heart Monice! Update: Check out this link she sent me for 21 Uses of Vodka. Now I *seriously* heart the Monice. She rocks and makes me smile at the moments when I could really use a smile.
People I wish I understood better: Boys. Here's to hoping!
Am contemplating a return to the online dating scene, and, well...
Happy place in my mind I like to visit: Clive Owen. :-)
Favorite thing to say to people right now: Really. (in manner of Jerry Seinfeld on 30 Rock)
Movie I want to see because Robert Redford is so cool, but I don't want to see because of my aversion to T.C. (a-nnoy-ing): Lions & Lambs. I'm conflicted.
Place where I don't feel very cool: Facebook.
Line I'm tired of hearing on TV: "I! AM! BEOWULF!!!"
Really.
Lines I'm missing hearing after several days with the bossy Zozo: "Bacon! Play toys!" "Bacon! Airplane!" "Bacon! Person! Dance Party!" "Bacon! Tip Toes!"
Book I had no interest in reading--because of the cover of all things--but now I am reading and enjoying: Skinny Dip by Carl Hiaasen.
Time this morning my kitty woke me up because she was yakking up a piece of food, while sitting on my stomach staring at me: 6:55am.
Clearly, I need some rest.
